Friday
I checked the Stock Market Tracking Sheets.
Students read and took notes on Ch 26 S4 for their 1930's project (guidelines and rubric are posted above). The notes they later incorporated into their product (PowerPoint or Prezi).

Thursday
Students read and took notes on Ch 26 S3 for their 1930's project (guidelines and rubric are posted above). The notes they later incorporated into their product.

Wednesday
Students finished w/s 32-33 and turned it in.
We began the 1930s project (guidelines and rubric are posted above).

We will have about 6 days in the lab to work on the project. Adjust your time accordingly.


Tuesday
Geography work - students used the Internet to complete w/s 32-33 - City Spirit.
Homework
None - we will have some time to finish the w/s tomorrow.


Monday
We read and discussed Chapter 26 S 2 - Roosevelt and the New Deal.
Students then worked on an in-class assignment: textbook p. 738 #2, which I collected at the end of the period.

Friday
Spring Break Day - No School


Thursday
Students continued with their Prezis and sent me the link.
Remember, first name and last initial only. You don't have to resent - it will update automatically.
I checked the stocks tracking sheet.
Homework
If you were absent, you'll need to have read Ch26 S1 and finished the Prezi by Monday. Remember to send me the link!!


Wednesday
Students continued with their Prezis. They also had time to check on their stocks.
Homework
We will have time in class tomorrow to finalize the Prezis. The link is due to me by end of class.
Remember to track your stocks!!



Tuesday
We read and discussed Ch26 S1: Hoover and the Crash.
In groups of two, students were to create a Prezi to answer txtbk. p. 733, #1. At least one image needs to be included, and the definitions should be in their own words. Use the textbook, not Google.
Homework
We will have time in class tomorrow and Thursday to work on the Prezi. The link is due to me by end of class on Thursday.
Remember to check your stocks this week. I will be looking at your tracking sheets on Wednesday or Thursday.



Monday
We continued with our 1920 presentations.
Homework
Create a Prezi account (for Tuesday's class work) and see what you can do with the program.

Tuesday - Friday
AIMS Week - special schedule
After testing we will have two core periods plus an elective each day.
Students will be presenting their research on the 1920s.
Homework
Remember to check and record how your stocks are doing! I will check mid-week next week that you have done it twice between 4/11 and 4/19 (special dispensation due to AIMS testing).

Wednesday
Students took notes as they watched an American Experience documentary on The Crash of 1929. They then wrote a summary from their notes.
I collected notes and summary.
Homework
Work on research, if necessary. Last day in the lab will be tomorrow. Project is due Monday.

More time to work on the 1920's research project and check stocks.
