Week of Nov. 8

Friday
I collected the thinking map.
As a class, we read Ch 18 S3 w/s and Ch 19 S1 w/s, answering the questions as we went. The graphic organizers under "As You Read" were to be filled in as well. Students had time to work on their homework.
Homework
Create one thinking map of your choice (no circle or double-bubble maps) for either w/s.


Thursday
No School - Veterans Day


Wednesday
I collected the Civil War Battles and Camp Life Chart.
Students took the Civil War test. Most had time to begin their homework.
Homework
Chapter 18 S2 w/s. Read, answer the questions, and create a thinking map of your choice (no circle or double-bubble maps).


Tuesday
I collected the thinking maps.
Students took the mid-point 7th grade history standards test (not for a grade, but they will get some points if they get at least 60%).
Homework
Study for tomorrow's test. Camp Life and Civil War Battles Chart is also due tomorrow.


Monday
I checked Journal Entry #17.

Homework
Create one thinking map of your choice (no circle or double-bubble maps) for either The Legacy of War or Rebuilding the Union w/s. To help decide which map to use, refer to the list of thinking maps I handed out at the beginning of the year.
Note: The test on the Civil War is Wednesday. Civil War Battles and Camp Life Chart is due the same day.
